From Tumblr to Blogspot

Most of the time, when people write their introductory blog, they explain why they have become interested in blogging, what they will be writing about, etc. For me, I've been blogging for quite a while but through Tumblr. Tumblr is an extremely different method of blogging. It's all about reposting and the vast majority of posts made are not original. Granted there are many people who operate their Tumblr in a different manner but this is what I've found to be true for myself. I started blogging as a means of continuing my writing. At first, I held true to that, only posting my own writing and photographs. Then I began to find lots of blogs to follow and fell in love with the art of reblogging. My Tumblr turned from being a place to show off my own things and a place to show off my interest in others. I'm not saying there is anything wrong with this at all, in fact, I will continue to use my Tumblr. But once again, I'm drawn back to my love for writing and my desire to document the important (and sometimes trivial) things that happen in my life. Another reason I am changing my blogging site to Blogspot is because I want to be able to post multiple photos from the same photo adventure. I'd like to be able to explain why, where, etc. and this is easier to do here. So, there's my explanation. We'll get to the fun stuff later :)
